Our sales team is based in Chicago, Illinois, while our dedicated buying office and cutting workshop operate in Arusha, Tanzania, ensuring a direct and seamless supply chain from mine to market.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Unlike most gemstone suppliers, Savana Gemstones is vertically integrated, managing every stage from sourcing to distribution.

We source directly from mines across Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Congo, and Madagascar, and oversee all cutting and processing at our workshop in Arusha, Tanzania. This structure ensures full traceability and consistent quality.

Specializing exclusively in rare African colored gemstones, we supply everything from calibrated stones to exceptional collector-grade pieces.

While we ship worldwide, our operations are focused on the North American market, with our sales and customer support team based in Chicago, Illinois. This allows us to work closely with clients, translating their needs directly to our production team in Tanzania.

Our gemstones are imported directly into the US, allowing for prompt fulfillment and in-person viewings.

With end-to-end control and a deep understanding of every stone we sell, Savana Gemstones delivers a sourcing experience defined by transparency, reliability, and quality.

Sourcing & Inspection

We source rare and premium gemstones including garnets, spinels, tourmalines, tanzanite, chrysoberyl and more directly from mines across Africa. Our experienced team meticulously inspects each rough stone for exceptional color, clarity and potential, ensuring only the finest gemstones for our clients.

Preforming, Cutting & Polishing
